Civil society has issued a statement on frozen Russian assets

Europe can respond to Ukraine’s courage with decisive action: turning €300 billion in frozen Russian assets into real support for Ukraine. The EU’s reparations loan is a significant step forward, but its size must match the scale of the destruction caused by Russia.

Ukrainian civil society organisations call on the EU and its Member States to take the necessary measures to use frozen Russian assets in Europe to finance Ukraine’s defence, economic and social stability, and democratic transformation.
