On the eve of the fifteenth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation, a coalition of human rights organizations identified 10 priority bills that need to be finalized and adopted in order to fulfill Ukraine’s European integration commitments. The approval of these draft laws with the necessary amendments will not only bring the country closer to EU standards and norms, but also strengthen the rule of law and form a reliable state system that will adequately protect the rights of every citizen by eliminating certain legal loopholes in the legislation.
