Draft law No. 13181 proposes a new version of the law on the human rights commissioner (ombudsman) and amendments to some other laws in this regard. The Centre for Civil Liberties believes that parliament should withdraw this draft law from consideration due to important circumstances related to the overall adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU requirements, as well as due to the weakness of the draft law itself, which does not address important systemic problems in the functioning of the National Human Rights Institution, which is the ombudsman.
