On 27 February, the Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the European Union held an extraordinary meeting to assess Ukraine’s progress at the current stage of negotiations on EU accession.
The meeting was attended by: Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka; EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova; First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Kornienko; representatives of the government; representatives of the judiciary; members of the Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the EU; chairpersons of the Verkhovna Rada subcommittees on European integration; the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Ireland — Cyprus currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and Ireland will take over in the second half of the year; as well as representatives of civil society and the media.
