The Parliament has adopted a draft law on a new civil code in its first reading

On 28 April, during a plenary session, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft Civil Code of Ukraine, registration No. 15150, in its first reading.

The aim of the project is to recodify and systematically update Ukraine’s private (civil) law by adopting a new Civil Code of Ukraine as a coherent, internally consistent and effective codified act.
