According to the latest report, Ukraine has made significant progress in all 36 assessments of chapters and roadmaps, moving faster than last year. Particularly noticeable improvements in the pace of reforms have been noted in 15 negotiating chapters, with 12 of them receiving a ‘good progress’ rating. The overall assessment of EU accession readiness has not declined in any of the chapters, and in 11 chapters it has improved, which is the best dynamic since Ukraine received candidate status. The average level of progress is 3.16 (+0.39), and the overall level of preparedness is 2.53 (+0.32). The European Commission notes the systematic work of institutions in the areas of the judiciary and anti-corruption and sees Ukraine’s transition from adopting laws to the actual implementation of European standards. The report contains recommendations that are consistent with existing roadmaps, and the Commission confirms its readiness to open clusters 1, 2 and 6 of the negotiations, expecting the others to be ready by the end of the year.
